This week, I’m learning to pause.
When I’m angry, I want to pause and ask myself: why am I really angry?
When I’m tired, I want to pause and give myself a break.
Life moves so fast that my nervous system struggles to keep up. My heart struggles too. Days blur. Feelings pile up. And sometimes, I react before I even understand what I feel.
So pausing feels like a love skill. Love for myself first, and love for the people around me.
Here's a cool tip I learned from an Egyptian TV show called Midterm (so good, by the way)
Choose one word. One word that acts like a tiny stop sign. A word that helps you pause, notice what’s happening inside you, and process it before you respond.
Close your eyes. Say the word. Breathe for 10 seconds. Then go back to your life, with a softer heart and a clearer mind.
It sounds simple. But it feels powerful.
So tell me, what word would you choose?
