Today’s post is a gentle practice. It might sound a bit strange, but I promise it can soften your heart.
As you move through your day, whether you’re at work, driving, or with friends… notice someone around you. A passerby. A stranger.
And ask yourself:
What does this person need right now?
Then say a small prayer for them. Just something simple.
And if you don’t pray, then make them a wish.
“This traffic officer is standing all day in the scorching sun. May a breeze come and make his day a little easier.”
“This old lady is limping. May her pain be eased.”
“This girl at the back of the bus looks like she’s been trying… May her heart be healed and her burdens lifted.”
We may not always be able to help.
We may not be able to change what’s happening around us.
But this practice exercises your empathy muscles… and allows you to experience love.
And over time… you don’t just feel love.
You begin to carry it with you, everywhere you go.
