Week 15: What If You’re Not “Too Old”… Just Too Careful?

We don’t age because we grow older.

We age when we let go of our curious, wondering mind… and start labeling ourselves as “old.”

“I’m too old to do this.”

“I’m too old to try that.”

I remember Louise Hay.

In her fifties, she began writing.

In her sixties, she learned gardening and painting.

So I ask you…

When was the last time you tried something new?

Recently, I tried pottery for the first time.

I won’t lie… I’m not good with handicrafts.

But it felt so good to touch the clay for the first time. To smell it. To watch it shape into something beautiful… and to create a memory that will always make me smile.

Now I’m wondering…

What would I like to try next?

Ride a camel? Hmm… maybe.

Fly in a hot air balloon… I’m dying to try this one.

Earn a new degree.

Write in a new genre.

Visit a new place.

Start a new business.

I want all that and more.

I want to keep my heart fully alive… and full of love for life’s new experiences.

And I want this for you, too, my friend.

So tell me…

What’s one new thing you’d love to try?
